Jesus indicated that we can "KNOW" if people are "FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15). There can be several ways to know if people are false prophets.

For example if there are "THORNS" (Matthew 7:16) in their lives, such as:
- "The anxieties (of the) age" (Mark 4:19).
"The deceitfulness (of) riches" (Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:19).
- "The desires with-respect-to the other (things)" (Mark 4:19) than the things of the word.
- The "pleasures (of) life" (Luke 8:14).

Another example is if there is "BAD FRUIT" (Matthew 7:16) in their lives, such as:
- Speaking "evil" (Matthew 12:33-35) (against the word).
- Being "restless of sin" (2 Peter 2:14).

You can find more details below:

We can come to "know" if someone is a false prophet:

Jesus indicated that we can come to KNOW if someone is a FALSE PROPHET:

Jesus said: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS — who come to you in (the) clothing (of) sheep, but inside are ravenous wolves. YOU-WILL-KNOW THEM by their fruits" (Matthew 7:15-16).

The "thorns" (an overview):

Jesus indicated that we can come to know if someone is a FALSE PROPHET by the "THORNS":

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), "They do not collect grapes from THORNS" (Matthew 7:16) and mentions them as being like a "tree NOT PRODUCING good FRUIT" (Matthew 7:20).

Jesus gave a similar description later in Matthew 13 about "the (one) having-been-sown (the seed) into the THORNS [...] And IT-BECOMES UNFRUITFUL" (Matthew 13:22).

In that parable in Matthew 13 (which can also be found in Mark and Luke), Jesus described the "THORNS" (Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:18, Luke 8:14) as being:

"the anxiety (of the) age" (Matthew 13:22),
"the anxieties (of the) age" (Mark 4:19),
"(the) anxieties" (Luke 8:14),
"the deceitfulness (of) riches" (Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:19),
"riches" (Luke 8:14),
"the desires with-respect-to the other (things)" (Mark 4:19),
"pleasures (of) life" (Luke 8:14).

The presence of these "THORNS" in the life of a person claiming to be a prophet may be an indication that they may be a FALSE PROPHET

You can find more details below about that:

Thorns: the "deceitfulness of riches":

Matthew 7 & Matthew 13:

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), "They do not collect grapes from THORNS" (Matthew 7:16).

Jesus said elsewhere that "THORNS" (Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:18, Luke 8:14) can be "the DECEITFULNESS (of) RICHES" (Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:19) and "RICHES" (Luke 8:14).

2 Peter 2:

Peter, when mentioning "FALSE-PROPHETS" (2 Peter 2:1) in connection to "false-teachers" (2 Peter 2:1), indicated that "in GREED they-will-exploit you" (2 Peter 2:3).

Thorns: the "desires with respect to the other things":

Matthew 7 & Mark 4:

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), "They do not collect grapes from THORNS" (Matthew 7:16).

Jesus said elsewhere that "THORNS" (Mark 4:18) can be "the DESIRES [epithumia 1939 in Greek] with-respect-to the other (things)" (Mark 4:19).

This would be "the other (things)" (Mark 4:19) than the things of "the word" (Mark 4:18), as after "having-heard the word" (Mark 4:18) "the desires with-respect-to the other (things) coming-in are-choking the word" (Mark 4:19).

2 Peter 2:

Peter, when mentioning "FALSE-PROPHETS" (2 Peter 2:1) in connection to "false-teachers" (2 Peter 2:1), indicated that "they-entice by (the) DESIRES [epithumia 1939 in Greek] (of the) flesh" (2 Peter 2:18).

Thorns: "Pleasures of life":

Matthew 7 & Luke 8:

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), "They do not collect grapes from THORNS" (Matthew 7:16).

Jesus said elsewhere that "THORNS" (Luke 8:14) can be "PLEASURES [hédoné 2237 in Greek] (of) life" (Luke 8:14).

2 Peter 2:

Peter, when mentioning "FALSE-PROPHETS" (2 Peter 2:1) in connection to "false-teachers" (2 Peter 2:1), indicated that they are "regarding the PLEASURE [hédoné 2237 in Greek] during (the) daytime (to be a) luxury" (2 Peter 2:13).

Bad fruit: Speaking evil things (against the word):

Matthew 7 & Matthew 12:

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), indicating that "every good tree produces good fruit, but the bad tree produces BAD FRUIT" (Matthew 7:16), "So-indeed, you-will-KNOW THEM by their FRUITS" (Matthew 7:20).

Jesus gave a similar description later in Matthew 12, indicating: "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its FRUIT BAD. For the tree IS-KNOWN by the FRUIT" (Matthew 12:33).

Jesus then added to look for what is being spoken: "Brood (of) vipers! How are-you-able TO-SPEAK good (things), being EVIL? For the mouth SPEAKS out-of the abundance (of) the heart, the good person brings-out good (things) from (his) good treasure, and THE EVIL PERSON BRINGS-OUT EVIL (THINGS) from (his) evil treasure" (Matthew 12:34-35).

Acts 13:

When Paul encountered a man who was a "FALSE-PROPHET" (Acts 13:6), Paul was trying to speak "the WORD (of) God" (Acts 13:7) to "the proconsul" (Acts 13:7), but the FALSE-PROPHET "WAS-OPPOSING them" (Acts 13:8).

2 Peter 2:

Peter, when mentioning "FALSE-PROPHETS" (2 Peter 2:1) in connection to "false-teachers AMONG YOU" (2 Peter 2:1), indicated that they "they-will-exploit you (with) FABRICATED WORDS" (2 Peter 2:3).

Bad fruit: Sins:

Matthew 7 & Proverbs 10:

Jesus indicated that we can come to know if someone is a FALSE PROPHET by their "BAD FRUIT":

Jesus said in Matthew 7: "Beware of the FALSE-PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:15), indicating that "the bad tree produces BAD FRUIT" (Matthew 7:16), "So-indeed, you-will-KNOW THEM by their FRUITS" (Matthew 7:20).

It is written in the Proverbs that "(the) FRUITS of ungodly (people are) SINS" (Proverbs 10:16 (LXX)).

Acts 13 & 1 John 3-5:

When Paul encountered a man who was a "FALSE-PROPHET" (Acts 13:6), Paul described him as "SON (OF THE) DEVIL full (of) all deceit and all villainy, ENEMY (OF) ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Acts 13:10).

It is written in 1 John about "FALSE-PROPHETS" (1 John 4:1). It is also written that "The (one) DOING SIN is (OF) THE DEVIL" (1 John 3:8) and "ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS is (a) SIN" (1 John 5:17).

2 Peter 2:

Peter, when mentioning "FALSE-PROPHETS" (2 Peter 2:1) in connection to "false-teachers" (2 Peter 2:1), indicated that they are "RESTLESS (OF) SIN" (2 Peter 2:14).
