Is it possible for someone in the new covenant to hear another voice than God?

Is it possible for someone in the new covenant to hear another voice than God?

It is possible for someone in the new covenant to hear another voice than God, such as:
- Their own voice/thoughts in their own heart.
- The voice of a demon.

You can find evidence for that below.

One's own voice in the heart:

It is possible for someone in the new covenant to hear their voice in their own heart.

Hearing one's own voice in the heart?

It is possible for someone to say things (or not say things) in their heart, as it is written: "Hannah was SPEAKING IN HER HEART" (1 Samuel 1:13). Or: "Do not SAY IN YOUR HEART, “Who will-go-up into heaven?”" (Romans 10:6).

It is possible for someone to reason things in their heart, as it is written: "the scribes were-sitting there and REASONING IN THEIR HEARTSWHY IS THIS (ONE) SPEAKING IN THIS MANNER?" (Mark 2:6-7), which was described as them reasoning within themselves, as it is written: "they-were-REASONING in this manner WITHIN THEMSELVES" (Mark 2:8).

To SAY something WITHIN oneself (with one's own inner voice) is the same as THOUGHTS and THINKING, as both are used interchangeably in the following passage: "some (of) the scribes SAID WITHIN THEMSELVES, “This (One) is-blaspheming”. And Jesus, having-known THEIR THOUGHTS, said “Why ARE-YOU-THINKING evil (things) IN YOUR HEARTS?" (Matthew 9:3-4).

It is possible for someone to have thoughts in their heart, as it is written about "(the) THOUGHTS and intentions (OF THE) HEART" (Hebrews 4:12).

Not aware of hearing one's own inner voice?

It is possible that some people are not aware of hearing their own inner voice when thinking within themselves.

This condition can be called "Aphantasia", which is primarily defined as the inability to create mental images or visualize things in one's mind, but it can also be linked to a lack of inner speech or internal monologue.

People without an awareness of an inner voice can still think or reason, they may process thoughts more nonverbally, such as through abstract concepts or feelings rather than words or images.

It is possible for one's own thoughts in the heart to be opposed to God:

It is possible that thoughts from the heart can be opposed to God (as God would not defile a person), as Jesus said: "OUT-OF THE HEART COME EVIL THOUGHTS [...] These are the (things) DEFILING the person" (Matthew 15:19-20).

The voice of a demon:

It is possible for someone in the new covenant to hear the voice of a demon.

A demon can have a voice:

A demon can have a voice, as it is written: "And THE UNCLEAN SPIRIT, having-convulsed him and called-out (with a) loud VOICE, came-out of him" (Mark 1:26).

What is the subject described that "called-out (with a) loud VOICE" (Mark 1:26)? The Greek verb for "called-out" (Mark 1:26) is in the neuter gender, which is referring to the previous Greek noun for "SPIRIT" (Mark 1:26) which is also in the neuter gender.

A demon can say things even if outside of a person:

A demon can say things even if outside of a person, as for example it is written: "THE UNCLEAN SPIRIT DEPARTS FROM THE PERSON, it-goes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find (it). THEN IT-SAYS, ‘I-will-return to my house from-where I-came-out’. And having-come, it-finds (it) being-unoccupied, having-been-swept and put-in-order. Then it-proceeds and takes-along with itself seven other spirits more-evil (than) itself. AND HAVING-GONE-IN, they-dwell there, and the last (state of) that person becomes worse (than) the first" (Matthew 12:43-45).

Hearing the voice of a demon?

It is written that someone can be "PAYING-ATTENTION-TO deceitful SPIRITS and teachings (OF) DEMONS" (1 Timothy 4:1).

The Greek verb for "PAYING-ATTENTION-TO [prosechо́ 4337 in Greek]" (1 Timothy 4:1) can be used in the context of having heard things, as for example it is written elsewhere to "PAY more ATTENTION [prosechо́ 4337 in Greek] to the (things) HAVING-BEEN-HEARD" (Hebrews 2:1).

Hearing the voice of Satan?

It is written that Satan may tempt people: "Do not be-depriving one-another [...] in-order-that SATAN may not TEMPT YOU because-of your lack-of-self-control" (1 Corinthians 7:5).

When Satan tempted Jesus, Satan spoke to Jesus, as it is written about Jesus that "He was in the wilderness forty days BEING-TEMPTED BY SATAN" (Mark 1:13), "BEING-TEMPTED BY THE DEVIL" (Luke 4:2), "And THE DEVIL SAID (TO) HIM, “If You-are God’s Son, say (to) this stone that it-should-become bread”. And Jesus RESPONDED TO HIM" (Luke 4:3-4). If Jesus responded to what the devil said, then Jesus heard what the devil said (even though Jesus resisted the devil).

Jesus resisted the devil as He responded to him after hearing the devil's voice, and "having-completed every TEMPTATION, THE DEVIL DEPARTED from Him" (Luke 4:13). It is also written in James: "RESIST THE DEVIL and (he) WILL-FLEE from you" (James 4:7).

Satan can put things inside the heart of people

It is written that Satan can put ideas inside the heart of people: "THE DEVIL already HAVING-PUT INTO THE HEART (OF) JUDAS, (son of) Simon Iscariot, THAT (HE) SHOULD-HAND HIM OVER" (John 13:2). This happened before Satan entered Judas, as 24 verses later it is written that "having-dipped the piece-of-bread, He-takes and gives (it to) JUDAS, (son of) Simon Iscariot. And AFTER THE PIECE-OF-BREAD, AT THAT TIME SATAN ENTERED INTO THAT (ONE)" (John 13:26-27).

Another example: it is written in Acts that "Peter said, “Ananias, for what reason did SATAN FILL YOUR HEART (FOR) YOU TO-LIE-TO THE HOLY SPIRIT AND TO-KEEP-BACK (SOME) OF THE PROCEEDS (OF) THE LAND?" (Acts 5:3).
